چکیده
The global pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome 2 (SARS-CoV-2) persists despite the progress vaccination and increased natural immunity. SARS-CoV-2 associated not only with pneumonia distress, but also many symptoms related to central nervous system (CNS), including loss sense taste smell, headache, convulsions, visual disturbances, impaired consciousness. In addition, virus has been implicated in CNS diseases such as cerebral hemorrhage, infarction, encephalitis. binds receptor angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE2), which used a cell entry receptor. Although mechanism enters brain still unclear, possibility direct through olfactory nerve tract into blood-brain barrier (BBB) blood-cerebrospinal fluid (BCSFB) via blood circulation indicated. BBB likely serves site for brain, possibly contributes COVID-19 due its dysfunction result infection. present review will focus on effects CNS, particularly cells involved.

Introduction: Recent studies have reported that the Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis miller) plant has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. This study evaluated the neuroprotective effects of different doses of Aloe vera extract after traumatic brain injury (TBI) in male rats. Materials and Methods: In this study, 70 male rats were divided into 2 groups; each group consists of 5 of sub-g...

Introduction: Arterial hypertension is one of the causes of stroke, and as one of the vasculotoxic conditions intensifies ischemic stroke complications. The aim of the present study was to analyze the effects of short-term cerebral hypertension on ischemia/reperfusion injury and pathogenesis of ischemic stroke. Methods: The experiments were performed on three groups of rats (N=36) Sham, cont...
متن کاملP27: KCNK2 and Adhesion Molecules in an in-Vitro Blood Brain Barrier Model
Two-pore domain potassium channels, like KCNK2, are known to play an important role in inflammatory diseases such as multiple sclerosis (MS). Upregulation of cellular adhesion molecules in mouse brain microvascular endothelial cells (MBMECs) of Kcnk2-/- mice resulted in elevated leukocyte trafficking into the central nervous system under inflammatory conditions. The current project aims to gain...
